The visuals are generally good but the dungeon sections tend to blend together after a few hours. Having to find the swords was awesome too there were many different kinds of them, in which case I never did find them all, maybe 1 or 2 of them that I could never find out the puzzles (yes some of the puzzles were that complex). First of all I think I played through this entire game 3 times and I love the puzzles and music and complexity of this game for the time that it came out. All that aside however, Light Crusader isn't a bad game, and if you own a Genesis and like older RPG's like the original Phantasy Star series, Shining Force, Rings of Power, or Landstalker, than you should give this a look. Light Crusader was one of the last good RPG's to be released for the Sega Genesis before the system's demise, and while it is by no means perfect, it's still worth playing.
