So I have been doing a bunch of research on the reliability of the KTM 690 and the results seem pretty polar, either it is perfectly reliable, or it blows up by 10k miles. The KTM 690 Enduro R is probably the most versatile adventure bike ever built. I especially want one that does road miles well since living here in Dallas, there's so much road to get to the really good riding areas. I plan on taking an adventure ride next year. The KTM 690 Enduro R is a 65 horse power bike that was built for reliability not necessarily performance. Checked the valve adjustment and it was spot on. Aside from the known rocker bearing issue, they are quite reliable. I've had 2 now, first one had weird fuel injection issues, 4 years later got another one (still own it) and it has a weird starting issue where it makes a funny noise and some times takes a while, haven't gotten around to fixing that. They make all kinds of upgraded versions of that bulb.
